*Birthday… Birthdays are an important milestone for students. We celebrate the Birthday student as a team, by including a Birthday message on our morning powerpoint, and at the end of the school day, by singing the Birthday song, and sharing a Birthday treat (OPTIONAL). If you choose to send in a treat for our team, we ask that it be a store-bought/pre-packaged treat that can be handed out to teammates as they are being dismissed for the day. Please contact your child’s teacher a day before to let her know IF you plan to send in a treat.
BRAIN POWER!!
In order to keep our students' brains nourished, we allow healthy (no candy, chips, or "junk" food) snacks to be brought from home and consumed each morning and afternoon. We also allow water bottles to be kept at students' desks, as long as they only contain clear water, and are not distracting students from lessons and class work.
**We have SEVERE nut allergies on our team...our classrooms are "Nut FREE" rooms during snack (this does not apply to lunches, only snacks)!!
